Are you a boarding facility/kennel?
We are not a boarding facility, a kennel, a shelter nor an animal rescue. We provide in-YOUR-home pet sitting services for Greeley & Evans, CO (80634, 80631, 80620) We feel that pets that can stay in their own homes are happier and healthier than being forced to stay in a kennel. Don't get us wrong though, we've seen many dogs thrive in daycare/boarding environments, and we highly recommend doggy daycare for our social canine friends! We're here for the ones that simply don't do well traveling or in a kennel environment. We offer them a chance to stay home! Do you offer training or grooming? We are STRICTLY in home pet sitters and dog walkers. Please see our Resources page for recommendations. Are you insured? Yes, we are insured by Pet Care Insurance. |
Why do I need a pet care consult?
A pet care consult allows us to meet you, your family and your pet(s). During this visit we will go over your pet's routine and care. Get to know them and their behavior with us. You're free to ask us questions and we will share some of our life and pet care experiences with you. For all first time clients a pet care consult is REQUIRED. A normal 30 minute visit fee applies for any additional meet and greets needed to discuss additional care if required for the same pets, if you move or add a new pet. This must occur at least 2 weeks prior to your first requested service. What do you do for my pet while you're in my home? Your pet's health and safety is our first priority. We follow a detailed list to ensure proper pet care during each visit. We always provide refreshened water after walks and outside playtime. Feeding is always supervised. We're able to cater to specialty diets and medications. We dry off wet dogs after pool time or rain showers (please provide us towels to do so!). We do not allow dogs to interact with other dogs outside of the household (group/"pack" walks are our exception and these occur ONLY with our own client dogs). This is for their safety. Gates are checked and secured before pets are let out. In the event of an emergency we are capable of getting your pet to the nearest 24 hours emergency veterinarian. Shy/nervous pets will be allowed to come to us in their own time, we will offer nonchalant treats but will never chase your pet or force interaction. General upkeep and cleaning of your pets area(s) will be maintained in your absence. Please provide us with cleaning supplies for quick, effective clean ups! Any concerns regarding your pets care or your home will be communicated immediately, if you're unavailable your emergency contact will be notified. |
What else is included in your services?
Not only do we adhere to your pets existing routine as best as possible we also provide:
My cat is pretty self sufficient... why can't you check on her every-other-day? While we understand your pet may not need to be provided food everyday and could be okay if left for a couple of days, our policy is that cats must be visited and seen at least once every 24 hours. Please consider the following experiences we've encountered:
Cats are social creatures and need human interaction. They should not be left alone for days without some form of attention. Cats need access to fresh water, SOME cats will refuse water if it is not fresh. This is not good for their kidney function. Cats are prone to kidney problems and serious situations can develop fast. We are trained to watch out for any behavioral changes or changes in litter box and eating habits. |
I have a garage/door code, do I have to give you a key to my home?
We do REQUIRE that you provide two (2) keys, one (1) for each of us OR have a key in an accessible REALTOR LOCKBOX with a code (nothing electronic). This ensures timely visits and prevents lock outs. You may have a code for your front door or garage but, in the event of electricity outages, battery failure or key-pad malfunction, this will prohibit our ability to access your home, provide services to your pet and will cause us scheduling delays. Your keys are kept in a safe and are tagged with your pet's name(s) and OUR phone number only when you aren't boarding. Can you provide short notice services? We can provide short notice services for established clients ONLY who have had their pet care consult and maintain consistent services. For new clients, we always require a pet care consult before we begin any services, this must occur at least 2 weeks prior to your first requested date. Please allow up to 5-7 business days to get your pet care consult scheduled. Contact Us How do I know you've been to my pet(s)? All established clients will have access to our mobile app that will provide instant updates upon our completion of your pet(s) journal! It will send a summary of tasks completed and photos of your pet(s) visit! This will arrive as an email notification and for those utilizing the mobile app a push notification. What forms of payment do you accept? CASH and VENMO. Do you require vaccination records? • Rabies is required for dogs and cats over 4 months of age. This includes ALL BOARDING dogs and cats. (Medical exemptions via your vet are allowable, i.e. old age, autoimmune etc) • Dogs who join in on social walks (walks with our other client dogs) are highly encouraged to have rabies (ALWAYS REQUIRED), distemper/parvo and bordetella. These are vaccines that should be given prior to a social walk but we always recommend speaking with your vet about your pet's social and environmental lifestyle to determine which vaccines are right for you. Can you provide my family with some of your references? Please check our Google Reviews, Facebook and Yelp. Also, see our testimonials page! What if your services aren't right for me, do you recommend anyone or anywhere else? If we decide we are not the right fit or perhaps your pet(s) would do better in a boarding facility please check out: Spot N Friends Creature Comforts Pet Retreat* or check out the experienced team of sitters at Wet Noses Pet Sitting* *Disclaimer: We do not know anyone personally at these facilities or use these services ourselves, but they are well known in the professional pet care field for Greeley, CO and the surrounding areas. Please always interview your potential pet sitters (any reputable in-home pet sitter will do a pet care consult and provide references before providing care). |
